Two measurements, kept strictly separate
The free check reports Cloudflare's official technical Agent Readiness result. The paid audit independently tests what AI assistants actually say. Neither is blended into the other.
Layer 1
Cloudflare Agent Readiness (free, technical)
The free check submits your URL to Cloudflare's public Agent Readiness scanner (isitagentready.com) and displays the official result exactly as returned: a readiness level from 0 to 5, a maturity label, per-category pass/fail checks and Cloudflare's own fix instructions. We never recompute, rescale or reweight the official score, and we never substitute our own number when the scanner is unavailable.
We use the official Content Site preset by default — the configuration Cloudflare's own interface offers for content-led websites. Checks the preset excludes (for example commerce protocols) are shown as not applicable, exactly as the scanner reports them.
| Official category | What it covers (our summary) |
|---|---|
| Discoverability | Whether agents can find the site and its resources: robots.txt, sitemap, Link response headers, and DNS-based agent discovery records. |
| Content Accessibility | Whether content is available in machine-friendly form, such as Markdown content negotiation alongside HTML. |
| Bot Access Control | How the site governs automated access: AI-bot rules in robots.txt, Content Signals preferences, and bot authentication standards. |
| API, Auth, MCP & A2A Discovery | Whether the site advertises programmatic surfaces — API catalogs, OAuth discovery, MCP server cards, agent skills. Often not applicable to content-led sites. |
| Commerce | Emerging agentic-commerce standards. Applies to sites that sell through agent protocols; excluded for ordinary content sites. |
Summaries are our own concise descriptions; the authoritative definitions are in Cloudflare's documentation (blog.cloudflare.com/agent-readiness). Cloudflare is the source of the technical Agent Readiness result. The paid AI Visibility Audit is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cloudflare.
Layer 1b
Additional website observations (free, unscored)
Alongside the official scan, we run our own bounded scan of up to four public HTML pages plus robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt. It reports observations — entity naming, metadata clarity, parsed structured data, contact and policy signals, authorship, dates, references and customer-question coverage — each marked Passed, Needs attention or Not observed.
These observations are not Cloudflare checks, are not combined into any public score, and never alter the official result. Scan coverage (pages sampled, failed requests, truncation, JavaScript-rendering suspicion) is reported with them. Declared company, category, market and competitor inputs never change any result; they are used only for declared-vs-detected comparison and prompt generation.
Layer 2
AI Visibility Audit (paid, independent — €49)
The audit tests whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity actually recognise, describe, mention and recommend your company — and which competitors and sources appear instead. It runs 15–20 real customer-intent prompts on a documented date, records platform, prompt, presence/absence, competitors, factual errors and visible sources, and is reviewed by a person before delivery.
- Cloudflare does not determine whether a brand is recommended.
- The independent audit does not promise rankings, citations or traffic.
- AI answers vary by platform, model, location, prompt and date — every observation is timestamped.
- Readiness and observed visibility are different measurements and are never combined into one score.
Notes
What the service cannot determine
- Whether a specific answer will appear for a specific user tomorrow.
- Private, logged-in or personalized platform behaviour beyond the tested experience.
- Internal model reasoning or ranking factors.
- Legal compliance conclusions (the report is not legal advice).
- Guaranteed commercial outcomes from acting on the recommendations.
There is no sales multiplier anywhere in either layer: the official score comes from Cloudflare unmodified, and the observations are unscored statements of what was and was not detected.
